is awarding its 5th annual Excellence in Work-Life Balance Award to
DeRoyal of Powell, Tennessee. Constangy’s program aims to recognize
companies that actively initiate and create work environments conducive
to work-life balance.An independent panel of judges selected DeRoyal, a manufacturer of
healthcare products, as this year’s winner because of the company’s
impressive array of programs, which include flexible scheduling,
telecommuting and on-site services for the convenience of employees,
including a hair salon, fitness center that family members can also use,
a cafe and dry cleaning drop-off. The company also has a comprehensive
wellness program that includes free flu shots for employees, health
fairs with on-site testing, and ongoing lunch and learn programs with
wellness topics.
In addition to the award, DeRoyal is also the recipient of a $1,000
sum to donate to the non-profit organization of its choice. The company
has chosen Remote Area Medical,
which through its volunteer corps provides free health care, dental
care, eye care, veterinary services, and technical and educational
assistance to people in remote areas of the United States and the world.
